Music Doesn't Play Continuously Through MIB

Is it possible to have music playing continuously throughout my MIB between verticals and pages with animations? Currently, I have added audio to my first page and have added the audio file to my playlist. I also selected the audio to loop and auto start. When I push my MIB, the audio plays as expected on the first page, however as soon as I swipe to the next vertical (which has a background animation on the B layer as an inline movie) the music stops. Is there any way to keep the music from stopping at pages with inline movies? I tried adding the audio file to each page with an inline video, which did keep the music playing, however it starts the audio over from the beginning instead of running continuously from the previous page.

Hi Phoebe,

Thanks for reaching out! Can you send us some packaged InDesign files (with a Dropbox link) that we can take a look at and try to replicate this behavior with on our end?

Thanks, Phoebe.

Can you also send us the audio file that you've been working with as well (Dropbox link will be fine again)?

Also, can you please confirm the following:
• Whether on Mac or PC and what OS?
• What version of InDesign you're on?
• What version of the tools (Plug-In, Production Tool, and Reviewer) you're using?

Lastly, can you confirm that you're seeing this behavior after pushing and reviewing a full issue MIB to the Reviewer only or are you seeing this behavior after uploading a MIB to publish and seeing it on a branded app? Or both?

Here’s the audio link! Right now I’m working on a Mac with Sierra and InDesign CC 2015, and all the tools (plug-in, production tool, and reviewer) are up to date with the latest versions. The MIB isn’t published on a branded app, so this behavior’s only happening after pushing the MIB to the Reviewer. Thank you for your help!!

Thanks for sending 'Ikebana_audio_edit.mp3', Phoebe.

Can you please also supply the other rich media files as well (toc.m4v, toc_vertical.m4v, animation/ikebana_titlepage1.m4v, titlepage_vertical.m4v, how_to_use.m4v, and how_to_vertical_new.m4v)?

I believe there are 6 total in those 3 verticals altogether.

Thanks for sending those, Phoebe.

After testing and following-up with our development team, what you're seeing is expected behavior based on each vertical having its own autostart media file (in this case, audio and video). Since they both autostart, the video on the second vertical (as an example) will trigger, reset the cache, and cut off the playlist audio in order to play the video.

Now, if you go back to the first vertical, the audio will reply once again since the cache is resetting and now favoring the audio in the playlist. That said, the only way you can get that audio to play throughout is to remove the videos on the accompanying verticals.

Let us know if you have any follow-up questions.
