Can't get MIB Optimizer to open

Hi there, I need to reduce my MIB file size but when I try to open the Optimizer I get this error message: "You can't open the application: "Mag+ MIB Optimizer" because it may be damaged or incomplete".

I'm using OSX 10.7.5 and Adobe CS5 and mag+ version 6.3.2

An clarity would be appreciated - thanks!

Hello Kyle,

Our MIB Optimizer is only compatible with OS X 8 and up, that is why it's not displaying as compatible and it will not launch.

Hi Kyle,

To confirm, did you try to open the Optimizer in the bundle (within your 'Applications' folder - see below) as opposed to a loose version?

Hi there, yes I've tried opening the Optimizer in the bundle with no luck - I've attached a screenshot of what it looks like. As you'll see there's a little 'prohibit' sign over top of the Optimizer App. Any ideas? thx

I notice in your screenshot that it says "Mag+ MIB Optimizer.app" and in mine it just says "Mag+ MIB Optimizer" -- does that make any difference?

Kyle,

It looks like the OS didn't identify it as an application when you installed it, perhaps you installed it when you had 10.7.5 installed but then updated? Have you tried re-running the installer? or if you rename the file and add the .app extension does it work?
