Indesign Crashing Upon Export

I have one particular file that consistently crashes upon trying to fast review/export. It's image heavy, but I've down scaled all the images to .JPEGS or .PNGs. I can still make other, different files and preview them, but this one particular one just doesn't review. I've even tried remaking the entire file, and it crashes by the time I reach page 9. Which is even more of a problem because I wanted to make more than 9 pages. I've tried repackaging and reorganizing my files. Nothing is locked on the page, and everything is linked. So far the only way I've been able to check if anything is working is by bringing pages over to a new document and previewing them individually.

MIB size: 39.530

File Size: 7.8 MB

MIB Version: 6.10

Indesign: CS6

Note: I've packaged the exact file and transported to friends computers and it works perfectly for review. Why might it crash on a specific computer? Not sure if file size matters, everything else I've tried (that's under 5MB so far) has worked. Please advise.

Hello Maddie,

Are you still having trouble with this file?  If it is only occurring with one file and only on your computer it could be a memory issue or perhaps some sort of conflict with your specific InDesign settings.

You can try freeing up some memory by closing currently running applications, the best way to try this is to restart your computer and just launch the applications necessary to review/export.

You might also try resetting your InDesign Preferences, to do so you can do one of the following:

(Windows) Start InDesign, and then press Shift+Ctrl+Alt. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files.

(Mac OS) While pressing Shift+Option+Command+Control, start InDesign. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files.
