Landscape layout: overlay slides too far up

Hi, I have a landscape layout and I want a custom navigation with jump links, just as in the Design examples that you can download from the Mag+ site.
If it is a portrait layout it's no problem positioning the overlay so it has at tab you can tap and the overlay slides in just perfect, but with the landscape layout the overlay slides in to high. I've tried to test it with te overlay from the Design examples to, but when I turn the device to landscape the overlay tab from the example files doesn't even show up at all.
BTW I saw a user posting a similar question some years ago, but the answer to that question was not full answered.

Same here! No chance to get that working...

@Johan: Try to Place the Menue-Button on the B-Layer to fix it. Then place the menue itself a bit lower that you place it exactly to the bottom edge of the screen when swiping it up. It worked for us to avoid that issue. Possibly it will not work by clicking on it. That is why you have to slide it up. But in fact the Overlay Layer does not know the landscape mode...

Another very very very nasty habit of the Mag+ Support is, that the most of the issues got "cleared" by the support got answered with "This Topic is closed because the issue was solved in a private chat!"

Really? Congratulations! But what if - just accidentally - someone has the same issue? How to solve it? Got confused and ask the support again?

This is not how to satisfy customers. Just saying...

Hello Johan, Baris,

I'm sorry that you are having some trouble with this feature and that you have not found an answer on our forums at this point. If you have an InDesign file you would like to provide me I can take a look.

In regards to closing down certain threads, we realize that this does not always help when trying to find answers but sometimes users request that their files/content are posted publicly so we move the conversation into a private ticket. However if there does end up being a resolution we try to open the thread back up and post it.

We appreciate your patience and understanding that we do our best to address every topic.

Johan,

If they are not large you can attached them here or provide a download link if they are hosted on Dropbox or using a service like https://www.wetransfer.com

If you'd prefer not to share them on our public forum then I can start a private support ticket for you.

Thank you for the file Johan,

Because of the way this layer is designed to work there isn't a way for the content to know when to stop when scrolling up on the A-Layer. Most use cases for this feature are best done when locking the orientation in either Portrait or Landscape.

An alternative would be to use our Dual Layout feature so that you have 2 unique designs for each orientation (https://support.magplus.com/hc/en-us/articles/203810658) and then have your Overlay Layer content on the B-Layer, then setup a Panning element (https://support.magplus.com/hc/en-us/articles/203810638)

Ok, Mike, thanks for your reply. I've made some designchoises so the files will work for my purposes. Thanks for the info anyway.

Johan
