Hey Dave - Can you be more specific about what type of file format you would like to support?
It'd be great to be able to use 3d assets within the media. Hopefully in the future things like webGL will be supported by the mobile browsers. But in the mean time adding 3d assets that we could navigate and explore would be a massive enhancement to the experience.

Probably Collada .DAE files would be handy. I know apple's author accepts these file types.
Hi, I'm also interested in importing 3d-objects in a layout in Magplus. Would be cool to, for instance, swipe around an object in the A-layer.
Since Dave's original question almost a year ago, has there been any progress in this?
Hi Eddie -
Unfortunately, no - although Apple has some support for 3D objects, supporting them inside an issue file in our renderer, and creating a way to place them with the tools is a bigger challenge, and most of our customers are using HTML to solve this. However, we are working just starting to work with this company - http://glyphr.cc - which does some 3D rendering inside an HTML browser, so you could use it in Mag+ today.
WIth iOS7 coming, there may be some additional changes that make this more possible for us to do natively so we'll take another look at it as that gets closer.
thanks for quick respons. Sounds and looks interesting with Glyphr. Guess it's a similar service like PointCloud. http://pointcloud.io/
Is there a video tutorial or description how to use it?
Not yet, as we're just getting going with them. But I'll e-mail you with their contact info.
