All links and popups not functioning after 5.0 update

I designed an issue earlier this week in 4.4. Everything worked perfectly fine. I updated to 5.0 this afternoon and re-exported all my verticals. When I review the issue, not one single link works - not web links, jump links, videos, or popups. It's as if the Clickable Area doesn't even exist. We have a deadline for Tuesday, Feb. 4. The webinar isn't until Thursday, and I can't find any articles on the website that offer any advice. It would have been very helpful to have the webinar released earlier this week for people who have to submit apps next week. Or at least on Monday rather than so late in the week.

I've rebooted InDesign, and I'm testing on an iPad 2 that has been updated to iOS7.

Has anyone else had similar troubles and/or have a solution?

Hello Erica,

The popup functionality works a little different than before and we are working on creating a support article that will be public soon.  But the way it works is If an object is placed on any of the popup layers, i.e "Bp - Popup - main content", "Bp - Popup - pinned blocks" or "Ap - Popup - Main Tower", the popup panel will become active. Then you can then use the popup panel to assign popup attributes to the object.

I see that you have put a support ticket in as well.  I will reply to you there to request an InDesign file.

hi mike,   we had an similar problem:

all the links and popups lost their configurations as we opened the 4.4 vertical with the updated plugin.  so we had to "rebuild" every vertical

Thanks for your quick reply, Mike.

The attached file is a popup group, but even simple popups are not working. Actually nothing interactive that is triggered by Clickable Area works.

Hi Erica - I had a quick look at your file and saw that the reference IDs on your hotspots/clickable areas are all different. I assigned an Object ID to the background image (where the questions marks are) the B layer and used the same ID for the Reference Object ID on all of the hotspots and it works like it should.

Ah, thank you, Nathan! I have hope again! I really didn't want to have to rebuild every vertical as Christoph had to do. The Ref Object ID hadn't mattered in previous versions. I'm thankful it's a simple fix!
