4.4 embedded Twitter issue

I have been working with embedded twitter widgets previously and have been trying to get the links to open in a new window. I'm still working that issue but now that I upgraded to 4.4 twitter widget embeds no longer work. I have also tested a fresh CS6 template and CS6 indesign but it still doesn't seem to work in the old tools after this upgrade. It just shows a link to the feed now instead of the actual embedded feed. I tested other embeds from other sites and they work. I have also tried placing the twitter embed on my website to see if it was a twitter issue and it worked fine. Something please.

The HTML embed I am attempting is:

<a class="twitter-timeline" href="" data-widget-id="401838396907081728">Tweets by @HotTechToday</a>

<script>!function(d,s,id){var js,fjs=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0],p=/^http:/.test(d.location)?'http':'https';if(!d.getElementById(id)){js=d.createElement(s);;js.src=p+"://";fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js,fjs);}}(document,"script","twitter-wjs");</script>

I tried several different approaches today but couldn't get anything except the link to the feed.

Hello all,

Unfortunately because tablet device's webkits change some of our previous suggestions for implementing a RSS/Twitter Feed may not work and it's been difficult for us to find a perfect, working solution for it so it may take some trial and error with different suggested methods out there.  While I do not have any HTML template examples to provide because we don't directly support any 3rd party HTML implementation you might try using our feature builder web feed as a start and can try to customize the output code.  More info on this here:

Our feature builder site can be found here —
