spread thumbnails

I am creating a spread for a 2-page ad, and it works perfectly when scrolling through the magazine, but when you see the thumbnails below, I see a white space between the two pages of the spread. I am working with compact vertials. Please let me know how to remove this. Thanks!

Hello there David,

Can you check which version of the Plugin & Production Tool you are using?

Make sure you on the latest version of our toolset.  This was a bug that was resolved previously.

Hello David,

Would you mind sending over your issue vertical folders for those 2 particular compact/spread pages as well as their InDesign files & a screenshot of your Production Tool view.  I'd like to make sure this previous bug has not resurfaced or if there is something that needs to be tweaked on your end.

David,

Sorry for the delay.  I have brought this issue up with one of our developers & it look to be a bug when using the combination of spreads & compact verticals.  At the moment I have no estimated time frame for a fix but it is in the hands of our development team at this point.  I will be sure to follow up with you if and when a fix or work around could be applied.

Hi, I am having the same problem.. but not dealing with compact verticals. This white bar comes up in the thumnails only. Also, it doesnt show up in the production tool as being "stitched together" but rather as 2 independent verticals...

I also thought that the swiping capability of this type of spread would be much smoother and actually let you stop at any position on the spread as opposed to jumping to either one side or the other, is this normal ?

Thank you!

Hello Jojo,

Could you send over a MIB and/or some screenshots of what you are seeing so that I might be able to better understand the problem?

Hi Mike,

Sure here's an mib for one of the spreads. It does it to ALL of my spreads though, I tried updating to all the new version but it stays the same. Very frustrating.

Thanks for your time,

Joëlle

Jojo,

In order to see exactly how you have your files setup it'd be easier to look at your actual InDesign vertical files as well.  Could you send over these 2 particular files from your MIB?

Hi Mike,

Sure if you think it'll help, you will find both indesign files in the attached zip.

Thanks!

Hi Jojo,

Based on the settings of your document (using the A-Auto Master template & spreads), in order to not have the white gap there, you would need to either set your issue to compact verticals if you are doing Portrait only across the board or you could add a black background so that the gap is not as jarring.  However this still does not remove the gap in the thumbnail as this is a bug we will have to look further into & make a permanent fix in a future release.

Mike,

Thanks for your response. I'm a bit disappointed about not being able to get rid of that white bar though since im supposed to launch the app by the end of the year.

In any case, thanks for your help and advice!  =)
