Slow Page Loading and Washed-Out Page?

Hi there,

I am having 2 little problems at the moment with my Mag+ project running on my iPad 4 using the Reviewer.

The first is that the pages seem to be loading relatively slowly, which is surprising considering each page consists mostly of 1 large jpg image (I design it in Illustrator first and then export to InDesign).

My understanding is that as you wait on a certain page, the software is automatically loading one or two pages ahead to avoid a load time? However, in my example I find even if I wait on a page and then change, the next page remains black (the background colour) for a few seconds before loading the one image. It may just be a simple loading issue but still a bit surprising on my iPad 4. I am running an overlay layer as well, in case that is an issue.

Another problem that has occurred more than once is that I have a flowing textured background that runs behind all of my content. However, I have found by using my large, fullscreen jpegs exported from Illustrator that some pages have a slightly lighter, washed-out tone than another. I have had this happen before when making a Spread, where the image runs uninterrupted from one page to another.

I simply can't find a reason for it, and by re-exporting the main image, sometimes it is the lighter shade and other times it is not.

Any help would be much appreciated.
