Can I add A-layer captions to photo slideshows?

Hi, I'm making a slideshow but would like to give readers the option to read captions for each image or to turn them off, as they swipe through the images.

Normally this would be something the A-Layer could take care of, but can we add a separate A-layer caption to each image within a slideshow?

Thanks!

Richard

The link in the answer above seems to lead to a page-not-found. Is there a working page that says how to add captions to slideshows? Thanks.

Hello,

While you cannot currently include a show/hide caption with the native slideshow feature as mentioned above, this would have to be done using HTML.  We do not have any specific articles explaining how to build such a feature in HTML but we do have this option as part of our Feature Builder site that exports your content as HTML:

http://www.feature.magplus.com

To create the captions, you will select the Slideshow feature and input the captions for each images by clicking the "T" icon under each image on the image upload page. Then you can customize the fonts, colors, positions and even the caption button from the Caption Settings.

You can also see what other features are available with the feature builder from our article here:

Hi, these posts were several years ago. Have you developed a more straightforward way to do this yet?
