How can I adjust the page sizes for the template?

Is it possible to make the template pages shorter in the template? I tried to adjust document setup, but it says the page size I want doesn't fit with the current margin and column settings. How can I get around this? (I have tried to take out/change margins and columns in the options panel but can't get it to work.

Thanks,

Catie

Hi Catie,

There is really no need to adjust the size of the page or margins as the content will cut off automatically at the last placed element at the bottom.  The templates are setup at specific sizes & have specific margins so that the Plugin knows what device it is exporting for.  At this point, in order to reset your templates if you have saved over them, you will want to reinstall the toolset from our website. http://magplus.com

Let me know if you have any further questions.

I too am trying to change the page size and having trouble getting around the whole 'current margin and column setting' error.

Mike, I understand your response, but even after saving my file as a different name I still can't change the size. I'm trying to repurpose the work I've done for Mag+ and produce a pdf of my MIB. Changing the document size prevents me from having to crop my pdf every time I export it.

How can I get around this error?

Hello Chad,

Regardless of the name of your template file, even your working files need to remain the size they were intended for them to work properly.  If you're trying to repurpose your Mag+ files as another size to export as a PDF, you'll likely have to paste your content a new InDesign file.  Unless I am misunderstanding what you are trying to do, please elaborate.
