Same here. It was initially there and now it is all Apple, and the device is not "recognized" when trying to export. Even when you load from the templates none of the Android settings are available.
Can't review without it.
I've updated Mag+ plug-in today (fully removed previous version)(Windows 8 + Indesign CS6 + Intel PC). But there aren't any of Android or Kindle devices as shown in screenshot.

Same here CS6 / Win7. Any solution?
I didn't see any additional checkbox about adding Androids during installation... as the press release declares: Also, you will notice a new checkbox in the installer for installing the additional Android device templates now supported. _Or you wanted to say _'not supported'?
Hey guys,
We will update you soon with an update for the templates. I will let you know when it is available.

Anders
Not to keep adding to it Anders, but would this issue also involve not being able to view Android mibs as well? The Reviewer app seems to only be able to show parts of a mib in an Android setting.
Again, I don't know if this is related or an entriely different issue.
Thanks.
Hi Lester,
I you reviewing the Android mib in an Android device or on an iPad?
If you let me know what template and device you are using I might be able to troubleshoot it from here.

Anders
Reviewing on an Android phone. Originally I had the device setting applied, but now that it is gone it seems to be throwing things off.
I am working on an Android template.
Aha, ok. Yes, the problem is probably caused by the lack of device templates. Sorry for your trouble. We will try to get the update out asap.
Regards,
Anders
Will I have to stop development until this is complete, or can we continue developing the mib? We have iPad and iPhone versions that we're looking to get approved. So if things can still be translated correctly on those devices, we should be OK with things for now.
Was anything resolved on this?
Are there any developments regarding this issue? I'm going to develop March issue soon. Or could you please send old plugin for develop android devices?
Hey guys,
Sorry for the wait on this. If you to your "Mag+" folder in your programs folder you will find a file called "MagPlusDevices.xml". Copy this file to Programs > Adobe > Adobe InDesign > Plugins > Mag+. Restart Indesign, now you should be able to export to Android.
Attached are the templates for CS5.5 and CS6. https://dl.dropbox.com/u/33037258/Templates%20for%20CS5.5.%20and%206.zip

Hello Anders,
Sorry to say that but didn't work for my Indesign CS6:
Result is still no Android devices.
I also reinstalled the plugin but the situation is the same.
As a temporary solution I'm downgrading to 4.0
Nope, does not work for me either.
Hi guys,
I'm so sorry about this, a misunderstanding between me and our developers.
If you go to your "Mag+" folder in your programs folder you will find a file called "MagPlusDevices.xml". Copy this file to "C:\Users<username>\AppData\Roaming\MagPlus"
Restart Indesign, now you should be able to export to Android.
Very sorry for all the problem this has been causing you!
Best regards,
Anders
Ok, that action brings me back Android devices in Device menu. But they still not present in additional device menu. This fault cause me triple work time. Is there a solution for that too?
Problem solved by itself.
There is no MagPlusDevices.xml file in Applications/MagPlus my Mac. And on a Mac OS, is there a folder called "AppData/Roaming/MagPlus"? if so, where (no C: Drive on Macs)
Hi Roy,
When updating the plugin, did you you check the box to install the templates for Kindle Fire HD in the installation dialogue? If not you can run the installer again to do so.
Best regards,
Anders
Hi, I have no Android or Kindle devices wither.
I am on a mac and I have no MagPlusDevices.xml file on here.
I never updated, I just downloaded the 4.1 plug ins.
I am on CS5
I have all the templates but they do not show up in my addictional devices in my in-design.
Some help would be muchly appreciated
Hi Anthony,
When installing the plugin, make sure to select to install the additional devices at the bottom of the checklist.
Regards,
Anders
Hi Anders
I'm running CS5 on a PC. I've found the MagPlusDevices.xml file but no AppData/Roaming/MagPlus folder to copy it to? Also, I removed my previous version when I installed the updated plug-in but there was no checklist.
Regards
Mark
Hi Mark,
The problem you are having is that you are not able to see the devices? Even with the latest version available on our website?
If you do a search for MagPlus, are you able to find the folder? It might be located somewhere else on your drive.

Anders
Hi Anders,
Just installed 4.3 and have no options to export to Android or Kindle. I checked Android and kindle box on installation. Mac, InDesign CS6. Please, on deadline here. Thank you.
-Mark
Hello all,
I'm in the same situation as Mark here. All of the options were there before (I had successfully made and exported the Android and Kindle layouts), but today the option to export is gone. I did a clean install of the Mag+ tools, checked the Android and Kindle option on installation, opened a new file from an Android templates folder --and still no go. Mac OSX 10.8.5, Indesign 6 and a very tight deadline (had a last minute request to send over some beta samples to our sales department this afternoon.)
Cheers,
Samantha
This solution worked for me:
Go to your library folder (folder is hidden by apple, but if you hold down the "alt" key when pressing "Go" in the finder menu you will be able to access it.
Then go to Library > Preferences > MagPlus and check that you have full access to the MagPlus folder. If you do not have full access you will have to change that, and also "apply to enclosed items" and restart InDesign.
Delete the 2 Settings files in that folder, but keep the "MagPlusDevices.xml" and relaunch InDesign. Maybe/hopefully that will force the plugin to reconstruct the devices list used in the prefs.
So remove:
MagPlusSettings_CS6.xml
MagPlusSettings.xml
Then restart InDesign.
Hope this helps.
Hey guys,
Very sorry for the delay on this issue. @Samantha, give Mark's suggestion a try & if that does not resolve it let me know & I will be sure to follow-up as soon as possible.

Thanks Mark, that worked and I was able to get the exports done on time.
Hi,
I know the discussion was with an other Version but we got a strange Problem with 5.0 and we are not sure if it's normal.
We are able to "Export additional devices" but we never have all options on the top to "Export" as new layout. We are only able to choose the device that we opened the template with.
Example:
We open an iPad template
only device options we have are the apple products
"export additional devices" export as kindle fire...
we open the new exported file
now at "devices" "kindle fire..." is select and no other product can be chosen
Is that the way it should be?!
Is there one answer for this. I have PC using CS5 - android device is not showing as option in settings.
Hello,
To resolve this issue on a Windows computer, go to your "Mag+" folder in your Programs Files folder, you will find a file called "MagPlusDevices.xml". Copy this file to "C:\Users<username>\AppData\Roaming\MagPlus".
Next, restart InDesign. Once it's up, you should be able to see those Android and Kindle devices in your plug-in.
