Fuzzy text on iPad2

I've noticed that some of the text on the iPad2 rendition looks a bit fuzzy. it's not all text just random text boxes. Any idea what may be the cause for this?

many thanks

hi Mariya,

is it just the text that is fuzzy or images as well? Regarding text, depending on the text font and size it can sometimes look pixelated. Certain fonts work better, and the bigger the font the more pixels to create the text. Try to augment the size to see if you can get it more crisp. If that works, then you might want to use another font to have the original font size of your text.

Best regards,

thank you for your reply Sarah but the issue is not always there. The same text in the exactly the same font - one parahraph is quite sharp and the other is blurry.  I'd send you a screen grab but the content is for internal use only and I'd rather not share it.

@Mariya: One thing you can try is to move the object between the layers.

Objects on the B-Pinned block layer and A-layer are exported as PNGs. Objects located on the B-main content layer will be exported as JPG. If you notice that the PNG format works better for text you can set the plugin to export PNG images only in the settings panel of the plugin.

You can also select the text object and in the Mag+ Objects panel change how it should resample the image.

Also make sure that you are reviewing using full review or from the production after export. Also make sure that you use Photoshop for downsizing. This is set in the settings panel of the plugin.

hi Anders

I've already set up all issues to export as PNG only and the blurry text actually appears on a A-layer. I could never get the "Downscale using Photoshop to work"... I get error message regardless of which version I select (I'm using CS6).

Hi Mariya,

Make sure that you have Photoshop installed and that you have chosen the correct to downscale the images with.

Also make sure that Photoshop is not active with another dialogue.

Try starting Photoshop and make sure nothing is running. Not even the start-up dialogue. Then try to Export using photoshop.

Hi,

Im also getting fuzzy text on the A layer, exporting as PNG, Bicubic Sharper, downscaling using photoshop... My images on B layer are fine but the text and image on A layer comes out fuzzy! viewing on Ipad, Ipad Retina, and the IOS simulator.

using Adobe CS6 and Mag+ 4.2.1

Any more ideas?

My iPad started having issues with text clarity. I couldn't see photos clearly or read any text, because it was so blurry. The battery, also was running down very quickly and not holding its charge well.

I was able to correct these problems by going to the settings in GENERAL and using the RESET option. By resetting the settings, my iPad was back to functioning normally.

I hope this helps!
