SOS Mag+ Reviewer 4.0 for Kindle Fire Crashes When Turned and More

We designed Issue for the Ipad and have exported issue verticals to Kindle Fire from InDesign CS6.

I just went out and purchased a Kindle Fire for development of the issue and installed the Mag+ Reviewer from

http://support.magplus.com/entries/22033756-mag-reviewer-4-0-for-kindle-fire directly on to the KF.

When in INDD CS6 we restructured the verticals and save them, hit fast review to review on the KF.

It loads fine in Portrait position but when turned to the Landscape position the app crashes. So you are forced to run another fast review to see if the layout works.

Also I would like to note that it is not just my verticals that are causing the reviewer to crash it happens when on the Welcome to Mag+ Kindle Reviewer! I have included a video of what is happening. If there is a patch to fix this issue I cant find it anywhere. The reviewer is not available on Amazon for KF and I could not find a link on the MAg+ site for any update downloads.

Jump Links in some verticals work and in others do not upon exporting to the Kindle Fire Templet. When you add them back in they dont work at all : ( in the reviewer.

Links with in verticals I have two links on 2 different pages within the same vertical both set to external.

One work perfect the other opens up in Embedded even though external is ticked.

We await you response as we were hoping to get this completed by the end of next week and loaded to the publisher the same time we load the iPad Issue.

There is absolutely nothing but the Mag+ app installed on the KF and the Mag+ url so it is not an issue of memory causing the app to crash.

Is there any way to work around having to clear the data every time you make changes to the vertical? It is beyond time consuming to have to go into apps and clear the Data every single time.

The most annyoying thing of all is when the app crashes or the KF goes into sleep mode you have to log back into the Mag+ Account in order to view the verticals. Can't it just remember me like it does on the iPad??

Attention to these matters are greatly needed as is your advice.

Sorry to be a pain

We have exactly the same problem with the Android Version of the Reviewer 4.0.1. Slawomir

I am also having a challenge viewing the completed issue on the reviewer.

2 or 3 verticals upload but the whole issue crashes after exporting it to the Kindle Fire which makes checking the issue in it entirety difficult. None of the jump links work with in the individual verticals. This is a cause for concern but not a major deal.

What is a major deal is the fact that I can't check to see if the Issue works the way I want it to before loading it to the publisher.

Hi Jessica-

Which version of the Kindle Fire Reviewer are you using?  If you have not updated to version 4.0.1 yet, please do so and let us know if your crashing and linking issues remain.

Note: You should only have to clear the cache if the app crashes, so not necessarily every time.

Thank you,

Hello Amie,

I am running 4.0 which I downloaded from your site. I did a search in the apps on the KF and there is nothing for MagPlus/MagPlus Reviewer/Mag+ Reviewer

Can you tell me where I can find the upgrade please?

Cheers

Hi Jessica-

On your Kindle Fire device, tap the "Apps" button on the homescreen. Then, in the upper right, tap "Store". In the search bar at the top of the screen, type "magplus" or "mag+", and then search.  Either keyword should result in the  Reviewer app appearing.

If you are still unable to find it, you can install the attached file.

Thank you,
