This information would be super useful. An answer would be much appreciated.
Whats the recommended resolution for images in a Magplus issue?
We have a large amount of images prepared for printing.
Do we need to downscale them for the right resolution for our Mag+ publication or will Mag+ Indesign plugin resize them to the right resolution?
If not, what is the recommended minimum resolution for images?

The plugin will automatically scale the images and make them the correct resolution but in order for it show in full resolution on an iPad Retina they need to be at least 2048x1536 px big from the beginning if it is going to be showed in fullscreen.
talk in print terms for us digital dummies... what dpi should they be?
The resolution of the iPad 3 & 4 is 264 DPI so anything above that will work. The plugin will downsize the images to the correct size when it is exporting the layouts so the images don't have to be the correct DPI from the beginning. The plugin will handle all that.
Also is there a preference for channels within the workspace? Should we be working in 8-bit RGB or 16-bit RGB?
@Bluezebra: InDesign should be saving in what you've set - depending on what screen you were using.
