What are all these vertical lines appearing on the vertical exports and previews?

Please see the images attached. They display the odd and random vertical lines on the final layers we are experiencing (as well as the more drastic final export problem we are discussing) . They are not always 100% consistent at export to vertical or review. We need to get the off the pages. They occur even at single page review, so they are unrelated to the other issues.

Any advise on this will help my designers breath a bit easier.

Hi Mike,

thank you for the fast support.

I'm afraid this still happens with orientation auto and dual layout template usage. I used the template for iPad (non-retina). The only thing that i changed is the document colour (RGB instead of CMYK).

I uploaded a new zip-file that includes the newly exported verticals.

I also attached a screenshot of the exported image.

Thank you!

Hannah,

My apologies for not being a bit more clear.  The page order is critical for Dual Layout to work properly.  The file you recently sent me has your page order as follows:

V

V

H

H

when it actually needs to fall in this order:

V

H

V

H

I hope this makes sense & this should resolve the problem.  Please let me know otherwise.

Hi Mike,

In my working files I always used your recommended order.

But I just tested this with the example file that I uploaded here. The template order has no effect on the exported images.

Any other idea? Can you reproduce this error when you use my indd-file or is it just my software combination that causes this? (InDesign CS6 and Photoshop CS6)

Hello Hannah,

I can't seem to recreate the lines when putting the pages in the correct order.  However, I suppose there could be other factors.  My recommendation would be to keep common layer objects grouped as much as possible as well.  Take a look at the attached revised file & see if reviewing it still produces the lines or not.

Hi Mike,

I noticed this only happens on the iPad templates and mostly the vertical templates.

Didn't have these lines with android.

Hannah,

Dual Layout is only support on iOS, so if you were producing your Android files with the default Auto-Master Page templates that is probably why you did not see them.  If you ARE using the Dual Layout Master pages for your Android files then you may run into other problems.
