Mag+ reviewer not shown in iOS simulator

Hi,

I am using Mac OSX 10.7.4, InDesign CS5.5, Mag+3.2 plugin and reviewer installed with Xcode 4.3.2

After following all the steps and reading through the forum, I still cannot seem to see Mag+ reviewer in my iOS simulator before or after exporting / fast review.

Please help. Thank you.

Hi,

After uninstalling and reinstalling the plugins, ID and mag+ reviewer, and Xcode4.3.2 I still couldn't see the Mag+ reviewer app in the iOS simulator. Is this just an isolated case? I would very much like to demo the app to my clients through the simulator rather than the iPad. If someone could help! Thanks a mil!

Hi John,

After installing the Reviewer app on the iOS Simulator following this guide (http://support.magplus.com/entries/20987381), restart the iOs simulator, set device to iPad. Then on the second page on the simulator the Mag+ reviewer app is located. Start the app, login under user setting, get the push service address and then push.

Hi Anders,

I have tried re-installing the reviewer without success. In the simulator, I can see that there is a second page, but on both first and second page, the Mag+ reviewer app is nowhere to be found. It's very strange. I have even tried reinstalling my InDesign!

Any ideas? Thanks.

hello Anders

I have successfully installed the iOS simulator and Mag+ reviewer and am able to push sample files and review them accurately. However, I can't test the functionality of A layers this way, or can I? Is it possible to simulate the hand gestures or show the Alayer scrolling options at all?

thanks

Hi Karin,

Yes, using the mouse you will be able to simulate the hand gestures. Make sure that all objects are located on the correct layers otherwise the a-layer won't function as it should.

Also make sure that you haven't checked "No A-layer" in the Mag+ plugin.

Anders

thanks Anders

I realised that my a layer wasn't moving correctly because it was a text block that did not extend past the page and it was a one-page document and so there was nowhere for it to scroll to. Does that seem likely? Also, can I simulate the double click or any other hand gestures with a mouse?

thanks

Hi Anders,

I'm trying to use the Reviewer 5.0.0 (iPhone Simulator), I'm running Xcode 5.1 but when I try to launch the reviewer, I get:

"Could not launch the iPad/iPhone application.

A failure occured loading the iPhoneSimulatorRemoteClient private framework."

After two xcode re-installs and flushing all settings I still can get the reviewer to work - Any thoughts?
