@Billy: Here are the step-by-step on how to build your app: http://support.magplus.com/entries/21045691
Do you have an definitive instruction manual or a series of ordered written tutorials that guide the user from scratch? An idiots guide really, thats explains the templates and how you create from opening a doc all the way through to finished product? I cant seem to find one. Or can you direct me with a series of sequential links to support that show the processes of creating from scratch?.
The webtorials are sadly not much use as the resolution is so poor you cant see easily what selections and menus the instructor is going into, and the sound is also really low, even at full.
Its quite difficult to piece together an instruction manual from scratch from the support area as the ordering of the articles are difficult to get together.
Any advice would be great appreciated, and thanks in advance.

Well, it would help if all the topics in your new support article worked. Check out what happens when I click the walkthrough of the InDesign plug in...
Anders: The problem isn't a lack of "structure for our support articles." The problem is that there is not a user's guide/instruction manual (hence the title of this thread). There is a big difference of having some articles and tutorials and producing a manual/guide that you can easily refer to.
Have you read through the entire thread recently? We are not asking for more tutorials. We are asking for a manual or guide. "More tutorials coming up!" doesn't sound like Mag+ is even working on manual/guide, and once again there is no time frame given at all.
Until there is full documentation Mag+ simply isn't aviable option for many of us.
Anders and Sara: The students and I have struggled for 15+ months with inconsistent publishing success. Today, we've spent hours trying to figure out why verticals that exported easily a month ago, will not export now. We keep getting the "Failed to export for review" and we've gone through every solution we can think of to get these pages out. Designing the pages is the easy part. Publishing seems to be overly complicated and we always have multiple problems working with the publishing and exporting tools. We're at the point of needing someone on your end to review this MIB to tell us what's wrong. Wireless will always be challenge for us because we're on university servers. Thank you...we agree that a very detailed, step by step manual would be very helpful. Also, a troubleshooting section.
We've been publishing on Mag+ for over 12 months - with the new release (3.5), so many things have changed, and our designers are having to guess their way through exporting and making new mibs... this really should be documented, because we're wasting a lot of time.
@Rhonda: Are you using the latest version of the plugin (3.5)?
@Mars: Have you seen the release notes for 3.5? http://support.magplus.com/entries/21652692
Hopefully there should be enough information regarding the changes in there to get you going again.
@Anders: Y'all are seriously missing the point here. Release notes are not manuals. You need manuals. The DPS has manuals. The DPS has support. Those of us who are paying you to publish can not continue on blind faith. Please provide manuals and a proper support status system asap. When bugs are identified, your team should notify everyone. Use a blog or an email blast; post a status update inside the publish system. It doesn't matter. But there are way too many gotchas and no single, consolidated source for documentation. Your a software provider. This kind of documentation isn't optional when we pay you.
Yes, we're using 3.5. I would strongly urge you to create a manual that's just for problem solving. We have constant problems with Mag+ production - any number of things can go wrong daily, not to mention having to keep up with such frequent upgrades and we have no support staff here to help us. Yesterday, I created a help MIB page using the new templates. When it exported to the production tool, the tool would not accept a 3.5 version vertical - only 3.2 and under. If the production tool came with the new install, why did we get this message. I did downgrade it to 3.2 and it worked fine.
Why not make an App. of it? Only for Mag+ users. You can update it whenever it is necessary. OMG what a great idea!!
A manual would be the best resource for a quick and useful reference, anyway updates can be OK on a blog or on a support forum but the user manual is really the basic item for any structured and paid application.
