how do i update an Help Issue MIB File ?

When I try to update Current Help Issue MIB File: AbbuFayax.abbuapp.8 with AbbuFayax.abbuapp.27

I'm getting the following error

"The GUID "AbbuFayax.abbuapp" has already been used. Please change the GUID in the production tool."

What shall I do?

Thanks,

Abbu

Unfortunately this is a function of Android devices and applications, the caching is not something we can control with the content embedded in the app build.

Hi Abbu,

The reason for the error message might be that the guid "AbbuFayax.abbuapp" is already in use by an uploaded issue. Chenge the guid in Production and try uploading again should solve your problem. Please let us know if it doesn't!

We've just updated the help mib & uploaded with the same file name for all types of devices, BUT after the re-building the application for Google Play -- app is still serves the previous help mib files :(

Hello Sergey,
Did you test the apk file before submitting it to Google Play and did it have the updated Help MIB?

Yes, Mike, the build was tested, that is why we did not upload the apk to production :)
We've just tried to update the existing help mib file, after re-building the apk, it displays the previous help mib content in the app :(

Mike it is a cache issue on andorid devices.
Josh clarified it finally:
Can you do me a favor a try the following:

From within the Settings of your Android device please access the application
Once there go ahead & "Clear data"
You can then "Force stop"
After quitting you can "Uninstall"
but it looks problematic to handle it on all our client devices :)
