Downloading

When I select refresh, it tells me there is a network error and my downloads have been suspended.

Hi Carol,

The "REFRESH"option is only used if you have connected the app to receive mibs from a server. Please tell me what you want to do and I might be able to help you out.

Anders

I'll chime in, as I am getting the same message. In the Mag+ settings on my iPad I have sleected Authoring Settings, and changed the authoring server to "single MIB file." then in the Local MIB Address space I have entered the Dropbox URL where my MIB is stored. When I go into the Mag+ app and press "review" I get a message that says: "Network error. There has been a network error. Your downloads have been suspended."

I have restarted my iPad, and deleted the app and reinstalled. Still getting the same error.

Hi all,

It seems as though the Mag+ Reviewer has problems downloading files where the path contains spaces and hyphens. It works in the browser but not in the Reviewer.

Having the same problem. No spaces or hyphens in the files, any other suggestions?

My scenario was slightly different. I was trying to get the multi review method working. It just doesn't unfortunately. Quick and dirty does though... At least for us. We could really use a method of doing reviews more professionally. Even a paid review server would be ok by me.

Thanks for your response.Anders.

Sometimes when this has happened to me I realize I have left off the .mib from the file name in local MIB address space.

I've followed the instructions with the Public Dropbox link of the MIB file being copied into Mag+ settings and so forth to the letter. I'm getting the same "Network Error" message. Restarting, reentering the link, reexporting the MIB file, resynching to dropbox, rechecking the Mag+ settings...no luck!

Ok here's the solution that worked for me: In the Mag+ Production Tool, be sure that the "Push" checkbox is selected, then click either "Review All" or "Review Selected" (making sure that the Mag+ Reviewer is active on the iPad). Tadaa! :)

For me, I got this error because I had my app set to "Single MIB Review".  Changing to "Remote review" (which it should have been) fixed this for me.

I am getting the same network error message. I am trying to download using the iPad app mag + reviewer. I have the settings on single MIB file. I cannot get this to download and I am not sure what to try next. Please advise. Thanks!

Hi Theresa,

Change to Remote review in the settings and it should work.

I am trying to download a certain file and the instructions say to have it set to Single MIB file not remote review.  When I put it into remote review the file does not show up.  When I have it on Single MIB file I get the network error message. Therefore I still haven't been able to download the file.

Thanks for all of your help!

Hi Theresa,

Are you sure the url that you use to connect with is public? It sounds as though the ipad isn't able to connect to it.
