Kindle Fire - Setting-up Your Amazon Developer Account

In order to publish apps to the Amazon marketplace, you must sign up as an Amazon developer. This article will walk you through the steps of setting up your account.

How to Set-up Your Amazon Developer Account

1. Log-in to the Amazon Developer Console <https://developer.amazon.com/home.html>.

2. If you do not already have an Amazon account, you can create one here. Follow the prompts to enter your profile information,  and set-up your payment information.

3. (Optional) If you stated you will be selling content within your app, follow the prompts for entering your Tax Identity Information.

4. After filling out your Tax Identity Information (if necessary), you will be directed to the Amazon Developer Dashboard.

App Creation: Next Steps

Once you've set-up and configured your account, you can create a Kindle Fire app to find your Amazon Application Key. This key is tied to your branded Mag+ Kindle Fire app and is entered in the Mag+ Publish portal prior to building your app. See the article "Android/Kindle Fire - Creating a Kindle Fire App" for more information.
