iOS - Troubleshooting - "Server Is Unavailable" Error Message in App Store

If, however, you receive an Apple rejection due to "Server Unavailable," this article will walk you through resolving the issue.

This rejection is typically due to a misconfiguration between in-app purchases in iTunes Connect and settings in the mag+ Publish portal. Please review the following scenarios:

How to Fix "Server Is Unavailable" If You Sell Issues in Your App

  1. Make sure you have created in-app purchases for your content in iTunes Connect. You can refer to the article "iOS - Creating In-App Purchases for Individual Issues" for more information. The article will also explain how to connect those in-app purchases with your Issues in the mag+ Publish portal.
  2. If you have paid content associated with Subscriptions please refer to the article "iOS - Creating In-App Purchases for Subscriptions." The article will also explain how to connect those in-app purchases with your Issues in the mag+ Publish portal.
  3. Be sure to test your app to make sure in-app purchases and subscriptions are appearing. For more information, please refer to the articles in the section "Testing Your App."
  4. Resubmit your app once you see that there are no errors.

How to Fix "Server Is Unavailable" If Your Issues Are Free

1. Login to the mag+ Publish Portal and click on the Issues tab.

2. Edit your Issues and make sure the "Entitlement Category" is set to "Free."

3. Test your app to make sure your Issues are appearing.

4. Resubmit your app once you see that there are no errors.
