Oplytic is a third-party add-on to your Mag+ app introduced with the 5.0 release. The service helps you track the success of any marketing campaigns you run to try to drive downloads of your app.
Here’s how it works: Pretty much every campaign you run to promote your app—whether it’s an email, a banner on your site, or a cross-promotion ad in your app—will contain a link to your app in iTunes for people to download it. What Oplytic adds is the ability to track the clicks on those links, and not just the initial clicks, but the downloads and behavior after download. That means you can quickly see that email 1 led to a conversion rate of X percent and an average revenue per user of Y dollars, outperforming email 2. You can test various creative in your banners and cross promotion.
In addition, Oplytic can let you track campaigns through affiliates, and even run promotions on your app. For instance, you can offer customers a $5 Starbucks gift card if they purchase a subscription, and eMagazines will handle fulfillment for you.
How to Integrate Opytic into Your App
1. Sign up for an Oplytic account.
Visit http://www.oplytic.com and sign up for the service. Let them know you are a Mag+ customer to take advantage of the discounted Mag+ rate.
6. Click on "Save" to save your settings.
Note: You must rebuild your app and submit it to your app marketplace in order to begin receiving data.
